Baked Salmon with Garlic Rice
Salmon has a unique taste. Its rich buttery flavor and mild meat like texture will surely delight fish lovers and also those who don't like the taste of regular fishes.
If you haven't tried salmon yet here is a great recipe to get started. Paired with garlic rice gives you a satisfying meal.
What do you need for 2 Servings
For Garlic Rice
2 cups basmati rice (300 gms)
3 cups chicken broth (300 ml)
8-10 garlic cloves
2 tsp butter
1 tsp pepper powder
Salt
Few spring onion
For Salmon marination
200 gms Salmon fillet
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1 tbsp of hot chili sauce
1/2 tsp crushed Pepper
1 tsp of lemon juice
Salt
Lets Cook
Garlic Rice Preparation
Crush the garlic cloves and chop the spring onions separately.
Wash the rice twice and drain the water. Keep it aside.
In medium flame, Add butter in a pan then followed by crushed garlic cloves and saute it for 30 secs. [PIC 1 & 2]
Add rice and saute it for 20 secs then pour chicken broth, cover the pan with a lid and allow it to boil. [PIC 3]
When the rice is half cooked, bring the flames to simmer and add salt, pepper powder, chopped spring onions. [PIC 4]
Mix everything well, Cover the pan with lid and allow it to cook for a minute.
Switch off the flame
Salmon Preparation
Wash the fish fillet and pat dry with a kitchen tissue.
Marinate the fillet with all the items under marination list, keep it aside for 20 mins.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 F).
Place the fish fillet on a aluminium foil and bake it for 15 mins. [PIC 5 & 6]
Dive in! Enjoy your delicious meal.
Notes
You can also use Jasmine rice to add more flavor.
Any type of spicy chill sauce can be used for marinating the fish.
Throw in some veggies like Broccoli & Carrots in the oven along with fish to fill up the plate.
