Broccoli Fritters

Broccoli Fritters

Most hated vegetable by kids, Can't blame them. Broccoli has a somewhat bland and slightly bitter taste.

Still can't ignore its health benefits. So let's add some twist and prepare a tasty snack out of these and make it kid-friendly, Shall we?


What do you need to make 6-8 Fritters

  • 1 medium sized Broccoli

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 onion

  • 5 garlic cloves

  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

  • 1 tbsp corn flour

  • 2 tbsp cheese

  • 1 tsp peprika (can be replaced with red chilii powder)

  • 1/2 tsp pepper powder

  • 1/2 tsp Himalayan rock salt

Preparation

  • Add broccoli florets and its stems in boiling water, Cook them for 5 mins and drain the water.

  • Once cooled, finely chop the cooked florets and stems.

  • Finely chop garlic cloves and onion.

Lets Cook

  • Add chopped broccoli florets and stems in to a bowl. [PIC 1]

  • Add all the ingredients one by one. [PIC 2]

  • Mix everything well. [PIC 3]

  • Heat a non-stick pan on a medium flame.

  • When the pan is hot take a scoop of broccoli mixture and spread it into a round pancake-like shape. [PIC 4]

  • Let it cook for 30 secs then flip it over to another side and cook it again for 30 secs. [PIC 5]

Tasty snack is ready to be served, Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you want thicker fritters then grind broccoli florets and its stems coarsely instead of chopping them.

  • Add a tbsp of gram flour if the mixture is watery.

  • This recipe can be served as breakfast or as a snack.

  • Use regular salt if you don't have Himalayan rock salt.
