Chickpeas lower the risk of diabetes. These beans are high in fiber and help to lose overall weight.
What do you need for 2 Servings
100gms of Chickpea
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
1 tsp Red chilli powder
3/4 tsp Coriander powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Garam masala powder
1 Green Chilli
2 tbsp Oil
Salt - as needed
1 Bay leaf
1/2 tsp Fennel seeds
1 medium sized Cinnamon
1/2 green chili
Soak chickpeas/chana overnight.
Next cook soaked chana in a pressure cooker. 4 whistles should be enough.
Chop 1 onion & 1 tomato roughly.
Pour 1 tsp of oil in a pan, when its hot add chopped onion and fry it for a minute. Now add ginger, garlic paste and saute till raw smell goes off. Add tomato to the mixture cook until it mashes well.
Allow above mixture to be cooled and then grind it.
Add 1 tsp oil with all the ingredients under seasoning list and fry for a while then pour the grinded masala paste.
Next add red chili powder, coriander powder,turmeric powder with salt and give a quick stir. Add water as required (use cooked chana water) and close the lid .Let it to boil for 5- 7 mins.
Now add cooked chana and garam masala, allow the gravy to cook well.
Sprinkle some coriander on top of the dish.
If gravy is watery add some mashed chana to the masala.
