Pan Fried Chicken with Caramelized Onions

With every new recipe, there's always a lingering mystery about how it's going to taste.

I had my doubts about this one.

Guess what? This combo was amazing and quickly become a family favorite!


What do you need for 2 servings

Used Measuring (1 Cup = 250ml)

  • 250 gm chicken breast

  • 1 tsp salt and pepper

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • Flour for coating

  • 2 onion

Preparation

  • Wash and wipe the chicken breasts with a kitchen towel.

  • Cut the onions lengthwise.

Let’s Cook

  • Set the pan over medium heat, add a tbsp of oil and sliced onions. [PIC 1]

  • Add 1/2 tsp of salt and cook the onions for 20 minutes.

  • Stir every few minutes. Reduce the heat if required to keep them from sticking and burning.

  • Continue to cook and stir until the onions turn dark brown. [PIC 2]

    Keep them aside.

  • Pour 1 tbsp of oil in the pan. Mix the flour with salt and pepper. [PIC 3]

  • Coat the chicken breast in flour mixture and place them in the pan. [PIC 4]

  • Cook until both sides turns golden brown. [PIC 5 & 6]

  • Finally add chicken broth and cook for a minute then switch off the flame. [PIC 7 & 8]

  • Serve with caramelized onions.


An unusual delicious combination, Enjoy!

Notes

  • Add more broth if you prefer chicken with sauce consistency.
