Chapathi, it's easy to make. Just roll the dough and toast it. But do you know whats the hardest part in it? To decide what side dish to prepare for it.
Let's prepare a delicious recipe from chapathi without worrying about side dishes.
What do you need for 2-3 servings
1/2 green & 1/2 yellow capsicum
1 tsp chili powder
3/4 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp chili sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)
2 tbsp of oil
Few curry & coriander leaves
Salt as per taste
Cut the chapathi into strips using knife or kitchen scissor.
Chop capsicum into desired sizes.
Finely chop the onion and roughly chop the tomatoes.
Heat oil in a pan, Add chopped onion and curry leaves. [PIC 1]
Add a pinch of salt, saute and cook them until translucent. [PIC 2]
Add chopped tomatoes and cook for a minute. [PIC 3]
Stir and mash occasionally, Cook until they are soft and mushy. [PIC 4]
Now add chopped capsicum, keep the flame in high and cook them for a minute. Don’t over cook, It should be crunchy. [PIC 5]
Add turmeric powder, chili powder, salt and stir it. [PIC 6]
Add chili sauce, soya sauce, tomato sauce and mix well. [PIC 7]
And then add garam masala, stir and cook less then a minute. [PIC 8]
Once the raw smell of masala goes off add sliced chapathis. [PIC 9 ]
Mix everything together until chapathis are coated well with masala. [PIC 10]
Finally sprinkle some coriander leaves.
Serve with curd.
