Foxtail Millet Honey Balls

Foxtail Millet Honey Balls

These may not look fancy and eye-popping like other sugary snacks, but it's super healthy.

Its simple and easy to prepare.


What do you need to make 6 honey balls

Used Measuring (1 Cup = 250ml)

  • 3/4 cup fox millet

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder

  • 1 tbsp ghee

Preparation

  • Wash and dry the fox millet. (In Shade)

Let’s Cook

  • Keep the flame low, dry roast the fox millet until it releases a toasty aroma. It will take approximately 3-4 mins. [PIC 1 & 2]

  • Allow it to cool down and grind it to a fine powder. [PIC 3 & 4]

  • Pour honey and mix it evenly. [PIC 5]

  • Add lukewarm ghee little by little and start mixing. [PIC 6]

  • When the flour is wet and greasy roll it into even-sized balls. [PIC 7 & 8]


Tasty as well as Healthy, Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can replace honey with sugar or brown sugar.

  • If you want to add nuts, fry them in ghee and add it to the flour mixture.

  • These honey balls will stay good in room temperature for a week.
