Honey Garlic Chicken

Hesitant to try honey with chicken, get ready to be surprised by its savory sweet flavor.

If you are in a mood to have something different well, you are in luck. This recipe is bursting with flavors.

Kids will love it!


What do you need for 4 Servings

  • 500 gm chicken breast

  • 2 eggs (beat with 1/2 tsp of pepper and a pinch of salt)

  • Bread crumbs

  • 100 gm honey

  • 2 tbsp soya sauce

  • 1 tbsp hot chili sauce (optional)

  • 2 tbsp grated ginger and garlic

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp corn starch

  • Salt (as per taste)

Preparations

  • Cut the chicken breast into chunks and clean it in running water.

  • Mix honey, soya sauce, hot chili sauce, grated ginger, grated garlic, salt and oil with 3 tbsp of water. Keep this mixture aside.

  • Dilute cornstarch with a tbsp of water and keep it aside.

Lets Cook

  • Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F)

  • Prepare the baking tray by placing a baking sheet.

  • Dip the chicken chunks into beaten egg pepper mixture and then dredge it in breadcrumbs. Put them in the baking tray. [PIC 1]

  • Bake it for 15 mins. [PIC 2]

  • In medium flame pour prepared honey mixture in a pan and stir it for 30 seconds. [PIC 3 & 4]

  • Now add cornstarch mixture and give it a little stir. [PIC 5 & 6]

  • When the mixture becomes slightly thick add baked chicken and mix it well. [PIC 7 & 8]

  • Finish it off by garnishing the dish with chopped spring onions and sesame or chia seeds.

A perfect evening snack, A great side dish for your meal, Enjoy!

Notes

  • Add more honey if you prefer the dish to be juicy.

  • Chicken can also be deep fried instead of baking.
