  • 150gm Jaggery

  • 150gm grated coconut

  • 5 cardamom - powdered

  • 1 cup all purpose flour / maida

  • 1/4 cup warm water

  • Salt (as needed)

  • 2 tsp ghee

Let’s Cook

For dough:

  • Mix the flour with water, salt in a medium sized bowl and make a dough as we do for chapati.

  • Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough rest for ten mins. Meanwhile, prepare the stuffing.

For Stuffing:

  • Smash the jaggery and heat it with a tbsp of water until it melts.

  • Add grated coconut to the melted jaggery and mix it well, Then add cardamom powder to complete the stuffing.

Final Preparation:

  • Make the dough into small balls. Flatten it with a chapati roller and keep a small portion of stuffing in the middle, Then wrap the dough around the stuffing to form a round shape.

  • Now dust the flour on the dough balls and roll it like a chapati.

  • Repeat the above two steps to make more.

  • Put the flattened stuffed dough on a greased tawa and cook it for 20 secs on both sides.

  • Garnish with some freshly grated coconut and serve hot.
