A tasty snack can make your tea time more delightful.

Let's cook a crispy and delicious samosa with juicy veg filling to enjoy with a hot cup of tea.

What do you need to make 12-15 samosas

  • 2 onions

  • 2 tbsp flattened rice

  • 2 tbsp cabbage (grated)

  • 2 tbsp carrot (grated)

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/4 tsp chat masala

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • Spring roll pastry sheet

  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour (for paste)

  • Oil for deep fry

  • Few coriander leaves

  • Salt as per taste


  • Cut the onions lengthwise.

  • Grate cabbage and Carrot.

  • Finely chop the coriander leaves.

  • In a bowl add chopped onions, grated carrot, grated cabbage, flattened rice, chat masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala, chili powder, coriander leaves and salt. [PIC 1]

  • Mix everything together and keep it aside. Samosa stuffing is ready. [PIC 2]

  • Cut the spring roll pastry sheet into halves. Mix a tbsp of all purpose flour with 2 tbsp of water to make a paste. [PIC 3]

  • Fold cut pastry sheet to form a cone. [See below pictures or video for reference]

  • Add a tbsp of filling in the cone and fold the edges. Seal it with flour mixture paste. [See below pictures or video for reference]

  • Repeat the same until remaining sheets and fillings are used up.

Lets Cook

  • Add oil in a wok for deep frying.

  • When its hot gently drop 3-4 Samosas. [PIC 4]

  • Fry them in medium flame until they are golden brown on both sides. [PIC 5]

A perfect tea time snack. Enjoy!
